SNOW ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 8 AM EDT MONDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MORRISTOWN HAS ISSUED A SNOW ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 8 AM EDT MONDAY.

RAIN SHOWERS WILL DEVELOP TODAY...THEN MIX WITH AND GRADUALLY CHANGE TO MOSTLY SNOW SHOWERS BY THIS EVENING. THE SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE OVERNIGHT...WITH AN INCH OR TWO OF SNOW ACCUMULATION BY DAYBREAK MONDAY. THE MAIN AREAS OF LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF SOUTHWESTERN VIRGINIA...AND THE NORTHERN AND SMOKY MOUNTAINS OF EAST TENNESSEE.

A SNOW ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING...BUT ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO BE LIGHT. DRIVING AND WALKING MAY BE DIFFICULT ON UNTREATED ROADWAYS AND SIDEWALKS. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES. IF YOU MUST TRAVEL... SLOW DOWN AND ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION.

Figured they would probably post one for the higher elevations. Nothing really expected in way of accumulations for most, just an annoyance anyway, haha. Probably will be the last gasp at a little winter weather with this being "Dogwood winter" I guess. Bigger concern is a frost/freeze possible especially Tuesday morning, coming up on the normal date for the last freeze anyway.

Well, if that's the case, then the previous 5 or 6 days with above average temps and a near record high day versus two cold days in a month where we usually see a cold shot or two (no matter if there's "global warming" or not), must mean he's definitely right.....yeah, don't think so, haha [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif[/img]
